I hold a PGDE in Mathematics Secondary Education and an MEng in Chemical and Process Engineering from Strathclyde University. I am also fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.

I have extensive experience teaching BGE, National 5 and Higher Mathematics. My experience in secondary schools has given me comprehensive knowledge of curriculum content across various levels.

When working with pupils, my first priority is to identify their strengths and areas for development. If knowledge gaps exist, I systematically address them by setting clear targets and achievable goals. We return to fundamentals when necessary, ensuring solid foundations before progressing to more complex material.

In exam preparation, I use carefully developed resources, designed as mini versions of the exam, rather than relying solely on full past papers. These give pupils the opportunity to practise exam-style questions every week, build consistency, and strengthen their understanding of how marks are gained. This helps develop exam technique in a more structured way and turns performance from guesswork into a dependable, practiced skill.
